Most Embarrassing Moment

We've all had a few of those embarrassing moments in life that turn your face a few shades of red, and make you wonder if you'll ever again be able to regain your pride. I've had more than my share, but will pick just one to share with the whole world...  Coach Hart Along time ago...... . shortly after I was married, my wife and I were walking together (with a lot of other people) out of a very crowded water park. Momentarily distracted trying to make my way through the crowd, I stopped for just a second. When I started walking again, I naturally reached out and put an arm around my wife's waist, giving her a little hug. Imagine my embarrassment upon realizing that the girl next to me was not my wife, but some stranger. I could have died! You should have seen the blushing look on the other girl's face, not to mention the teasing I got from my wife. The one nice thing about this particular moment was the fact that it happened when I was surrounded by strangers. ...

Sutherland No More – A Proclamation Sutherland Springs from the pages of my media feed, A story of guns, grief and the need, for no more. Sutherland no more. The innocent and the free sitting in their Sunday Pews, Little thinking they would be the news, on the door. Sutherland no more. The white squat steepled church reaches to the sky, The congregation and world asks why, whilst the tears pour. Sutherland no more. ‘Fortunately somebody else had a gun’, the saying goes, That was equalising those bullet flows, from ceiling to floor. Sutherland no more. Freedom to Bear, Freedom to Speak, Freedom to seek The solution to these nightmares in our sleep. Guns cause the rift and opinion must shift. When you’re gone, Will you send back a letter from America?

Like A Girl I play like a girl, I hit like a girl You say I throw like a girl, And, when I run -- I run like a girl! All that plus more, enjoy this one size fits all Who and what I want comes from being strong Classy and fabulous, THIS is my song! I've been told, cut to size The world dark and gray, when life becomes an insult Take heed when I speak my mind, I am tough, outstanding and beautiful! Move ahead --- say it twice, I smell nice A taste of Cool Water and Justice Perfume I have a non-stop multitask fixation Like a woman, everything about me is hidden Magic and alluring the only joy in sexuality you'll need I'm empowering this moment! Endorsing Myself, with a certain sorta mystique I deliver an independent will,      don't ever underestimate my physique I am a caregiver, a female who won't give up the fight I remain firm and believe all women have equal rights I walk and talk Like A girl  ...

Short Story

A Pair of Silk Little Mrs. Sommers one day found herself the unexpected possessor of fifteen dollars. It seemed to her a very large amount of money, and the way in which it stuffed and bulged her worn old porte-monnaie gave her a feeling of importance such as she had not enjoyed for years. The question of investment was one that occupied her greatly. For a day or two she walked about apparently in a dreamy state, but really absorbed in speculation and calculation. She did not wish to act hastily, to do anything she might afterward regret. But it was during the still hours of the night when she lay awake revolving plans in her mind that she seemed to see her way clearly toward a proper and judicious use of the money. A dollar or two should be added to the price usually paid for Janie's shoes, which would insure their lasting an appreciable time longer than they usually did. She would buy so and so many yards of percale for new shirt waists for the boys and Janie and Mag. Sh...

You Don't Really Love Me You left when I was only two, Daddy had no idea what to do. You never turned to say bye, If you had, you would have seen Daddy cry. I forgot all about you as I grew, And Daddy mentioned you few and few. I went to school and became distressed, The first day I came home a mess. Being when you left I was small, I couldn't remember you at all. I thought that I just didn't have a Mommy, Until a new kid saw me. She asked about my Daddy, I said he was nice. She asked about my Mommy, And I froze like a vice. I then asked, "What's a Mommy?", And she let out a laugh. "A Mommy is a person that loves you, And makes you take a bath." I told her I didn't have one, She looked at me sad. "Of course you have one silly! She's the girl version of Dad!" I stared at her for quite a while, But couldn't get myself to smile. A few tears slid down my face, ...

My love is as a fever, longing still For that which longer nurseth the disease, Feeding on that which doth preserve the ill, The uncertain sickly appetite to please. My reason, the physician to my love, Angry that his prescriptions are not kept, Hath left me, and I desp’rate now approve Desire is death, which physic did except. Past cure am I, now reason is past care, And frantic mad with evermore unrest, My thoughts and my discourse as madmen’s are, At random from the truth vainly expressed;    For I have sworn thee fair and thought thee bright,    Who art as black as hell, as dark as night.
